Our home is located within the premises of the historical center of Florence, part of UNESCO's heritage. Start your journey from our street, via Guelfa, and venture across the alleys headed towards the Duomo making sure to pass by Via Taddea n. 21. Don't get fooled by impressions, in this humble house Collodi was born and with him, Pinocchio! Continue your stroll through Mercato Centrale's square and then San Lorenzo: here you'll admire the famous Medici's chapel where Cosimo is buried. Once arrived at the Duomo's square, take your time to ponder the complexity of the architecture of the Brunelleschi's dome, the facade, the Battistero' Heavens' door and Giotto's bell tower.
Once you are ready to get back on track, continue exploring the city center pass Piazza della Signoria & Ponte Vecchio, to the Boboli's Gardens. Time, passion and tickets permitted, be sure to enter the Uffizi museum. For a panoramic view of the city, Piazzale Michelangelo is the most famous but if you are lucky enough to find it open, go to the Giardino delle rose, here is a map to it:
